The terms that apply when you use the Use-IT Telecoms website and customer portal.

Please read these terms carefully before you use our website. They explain the rules for using useit-telecoms.co.uk and our customer portal (together, "our website").

1. Who we are

Our website is operated by Use IT Telecoms Limited, trading as Use-IT Telecoms ("we", "us", "our"). We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 15657337, and our registered office is at 80-84 High Street, Rishton, Blackburn, Lancashire, BB1 4LA.

2. Accepting these terms

By using our website you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to follow them. If you do not agree, please do not use our website. We recommend that you keep a copy of these terms for future reference.

3. Other terms that may apply

These terms only cover your use of our website. The following also apply:

The supply of our telecoms, connectivity, mobile and contact centre services is governed by the order form, contract and terms and conditions agreed between us and each customer. Nothing on our website changes those contracts. If anything in these terms conflicts with your contract, your contract takes priority.

4. Using our website

Our website is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that it, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of it for business or operational reasons, such as planned maintenance, and we will try to give reasonable notice where we can.

Our website is aimed at businesses and other organisations in the United Kingdom. We do not claim that its content is appropriate for, or available in, other countries.

You are responsible for making sure that anyone who uses our website through your internet connection is aware of these terms and follows them.

5. Customer portal accounts

Our customer portal is only for our customers and the people they authorise. If you are given a user account, you must:

  • keep your password secure and not share it with anyone else;
  • use a password that you do not use on any other website;
  • tell us straight away if you think someone else knows your password or has used your account; and
  • only use the portal for the account you are authorised to manage.

Customers are responsible for the users they authorise and for anything done through those users' accounts, and should tell us promptly when a user should no longer have access. We may disable any user account if we reasonably believe it has been misused or these terms have been broken, or to protect the security of our systems.

6. Acceptable use

You may use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • use it in any way that breaks any law or regulation, or is fraudulent or has a fraudulent purpose;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to our website, the servers it runs on or any system or database connected to it, including other customers' accounts;
  • attack our website through a denial of service attack or a distributed denial of service attack;
  • knowingly introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other malicious or technologically harmful material;
  • use automated tools to scrape, copy or harvest content or data from our website, other than search engines indexing public pages in line with our robots.txt file;
  • send spam or unsolicited messages through our contact form, or submit false information; or
  • use our website to harass, threaten or harm anyone.

Breaking these rules may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and cooperate with them, including by disclosing your identity to them. If this happens, your right to use our website will stop immediately.

7. Information, prices and quotes

The content on our website is provided for general information only. It is not advice on which you should rely, and it does not form part of any contract. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is accurate, complete or current.

Prices, packages, features and availability shown on our website are a guide and may change. They are not an offer that can be accepted to form a contract. The price and terms that apply to you are those set out in the written quote or order form we give you. Unless we say otherwise, prices are shown excluding VAT.

Descriptions of third party products and platforms, such as those from 8x8 and Evonex, are based on information from those suppliers. Product and company names are the trade marks of their respective owners, and our use of them does not mean those owners endorse us.

8. Intellectual property

We own, or are licensed to use, all intellectual property rights in our website and the material published on it, including text, graphics, logos and design. These works are protected by copyright and other laws around the world, and all such rights are reserved.

You may view our website, and print or download extracts for your own business reference or to share within your organisation. You must not change any material you print or download, use any illustrations, photographs or graphics separately from the accompanying text, or use any part of our content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Our status as the authors of the content must always be acknowledged.

Where our website contains links to other websites and resources provided by third parties, including Use-IT Computers, these links are provided for your information only. We have no control over the content of those websites and are not responsible for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

You may link to our home page, as long as you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not create a link in a way that suggests any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists, and you must not frame our website on any other website. We may withdraw linking permission without notice.

10. Viruses and security

We use reasonable measures to protect our website, but we do not guarantee that it will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your own technology to access our website, and you should use your own virus protection software.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

If you use our website as a business, to the extent permitted by law we exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to our website or any content on it. We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, our website, or your use of or reliance on any content displayed on it. In particular, we will not be liable for loss of profits, sales, business or revenue, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, or any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

If you use our website as a consumer, we only provide it for domestic and private use, and we are not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Our liability in connection with the services we supply to customers is set out in the contract for those services and not in these terms.

We may revise these terms at any time by updating this page. Please check it from time to time, as the version in force when you use our website applies to you. The date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last updated.

13. Governing law

These terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
