This policy explains how Use IT Telecoms Limited ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on useit-telecoms.co.uk and our customer portal. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
In short: we only use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the website securely. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not share cookie information with advertisers. Because strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, we do not show a cookie banner.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. They let the website recognise your browser on later requests, for example so that you stay signed in as you move between pages. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation's service used on that website are called third party cookies.
2. How we use cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to:
- keep your visit working as you move from page to page;
- keep you signed in to the customer portal, and sign you out after a period of inactivity;
- protect our forms against cross site request forgery and other attacks; and
- protect the website from bots, spam and denial of service attacks.
None of these cookies are used to build a profile of you or to follow you around other websites.

All of these cookies are strictly necessary. The session and security cookies are only sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and, apart from XSRF-TOKEN, cannot be read by JavaScript.
4. Similar technologies
When you are signed in to the customer portal, your browser's session storage remembers how far you have scrolled down the navigation menu, so that you do not lose your place when you open a new page. This is cleared when you close the browser tab and never leaves your device.
5. Third party services
- Cloudflare. Our hosting uses Cloudflare to protect the website. Cloudflare sets the
__cf_bmcookie, andcf_clearanceif you are asked to complete a security check. Our contact form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending it. Turnstile does not use cookies to collect or store information, but it does process technical signals from your browser to make that check. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. - Google Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. This does not set cookies, but your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
Our website links to other websites, such as Use-IT Computers. Those websites may use their own cookies, which are covered by their own policies.
6. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Help is available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge. The Information Commissioner's Office also has general guidance on cookies.
Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking them will stop parts of the website from working. In particular, you will not be able to send our contact form or sign in to the customer portal.
7. Changes to this policy
If we start using any cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them. The date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last updated.
